Spring Wedding in Vineland from Julius and James

This lovely spring wedding features the perfect combination of natural and historical details, captured in a beautiful photo journalistic style by Julius and James Photography. I loved the vintage styling from Mashed Events and gorgeous flowers by McEwan Floral (those driftwood centrepieces!) which complemented the Windows Room at Inn on the Twenty so perfectly.

From the photographer: Ruby and Carlo carefully curated all of the details of their wedding, and the result is a really beautiful photo essay full of Niagara charm and style. She chose local, Niagara area vendors where possible, including Hamilton based wedding photographers Julius & James.

The couple discovered that they loved to explore the Ontario countryside, and settled on a Niagara wedding in the spring. To this backdrop they added their own style and traditions. The wedding ceremony features the Philippines tradition of the yugal, a cord in the shape of a figure 8 which is draped over the shoulders of the bride and groom by two 'sponsors.' The cord symbolizes the infinite nature of marital fidelity. Chinese customs were followed at the reception, with 'wedding games' where bride and groom try to prove how well they know each other, and with plenty of toasting with Ontario wine from Cave Springs winery.

Ruby chose the preparation venues very carefully. 1851 Historic house has a soft, feminine feel, perfect for the bride's preparations, while the Coach House Bed and Breakfast, also in Jordan Station, feels more masculine. Flower details by McEwan Floral were simply stunning. The photo shoot at Balls Falls shows off how some of Niagara's historic can be used as a wonderful romantic setting for wedding photography.
