A Queen’s Landing wedding is always such a quintessential event in Old Town Niagara on the Lake, and this beautiful wedding captured by Philosophy Studios highlights just why that is.

From Amanda, the bride:

We were supposed to get engaged in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Chadwick planned a weekend away for us with a beautiful proposal and engagement, dinner to follow after with family. Unfortunately, the ring wasn't ready in time so he had to do some last-minute proposal planning. We wanted to get married in Niagara-on-the-Lake because it was supposed to be a special place for the engagement, and it also represents a natural boundary between our two home countries, Canada and the USA. It was a beautiful and proximate location for our guests.

Queen's Landing was the perfect mix of indoor elegance and outdoor serenity. Their garden was exactly what I was envisioning while being close to the water and quaint downtown for out-of-town visitors.

I had a vision for a chic, bohemian style. We were very limited on time due to booking and planning the wedding within 6 weeks of the wedding date. I had to use who was available within a short period of time, however, we got very lucky and I was able to create my vision in a short time frame. I wanted something classy and simple, nothing extravagant or over the top, so nice flowers and chairs were my priority for the reception.

We were supposed to have the ceremony outdoors but the forecast was calling for a 100% chance of rain an hour before the ceremony time. So, we decided to make the rain day decision to do the ceremony inside, in the Atrium. The Atrium was beautiful and the florist did a wonderful job doing a last-minute, indoor arrangement after they planned to create an outdoor arrangement on the pergola. The weather ended up clearing up for pictures after the ceremony and we got absolutely perfect pictures in the outdoor space I was highly anticipating.”
