Rebecca and Ian planned a classic, black and white wedding at Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery rich with timeless elements and meaningful details. From the moment Rebecca stepped into her dress surrounded by her dearest friends and daughters, to exchanging their vows in the winery’s barrel cellar — every single second of this special day was sweetly savored.

How long had you and your partner been together prior to your wedding? We got married 10 years after being together.

How did you feel the morning of the wedding? Overwhelmed and excited. The weather was perfect. There was alot of moving parts so it was hard to not think about it.

What drew you to your venue? We have enjoyed Ravine on numerous occasions prior to picking it as our venue. We loved good food and wine and Ravine hits all the boxes. Their food and set up was remarkable and we couldn't have wished for more, it was perfect.

After choosing your wedding venue, did it impact the direction you took for styling and decor? We wanted a classic charm and to let the venue shine through. We explained our vision to our Florist who really made it come together.

What inspired your colour scheme? We wanted just classic and timeless.

How difficult was it to decide on your colour scheme? Pretty easy. We liked gold, green, black, and white.

Were your florals exactly how you imagined them? Kalin at Bloom and Co was beyond phenomenal. She is truly a visionary and the flowers were utterly perfect.

Would you have done anything differently planning-wise? No, I’m very happy with our wedding day.

Did you take on any project(s) of your own that you wish you had hired a professional for? (ie. making your own cake, florals, invitations, etc.) I vendored most things out as we have 3 kids and don't have much spare time.

What advice would you give to a couple who are in the process of planning their wedding? Make a binder, create a timeline, trust your venues vendor reccomendations. We live 2 hours away and wanted to use vendors who were familiar with the area and venue, this made it seamless.
