Their vision of a timeless black-and-white wedding came to life in the Grand Banking Hall, blending elegant design with personal touches that reflected their personalities and made the day feel uniquely theirs. A LOVE STORY WRITTEN IN THE STARS (AND ON BUMBLE)
Priscilla and Matt’s story started with a simple “Hey :)” on Bumble, and what followed was nearly five years full of adventures together. Travel quickly became one of their favorite shared passions, so it felt only right that Matt popped the question abroad. On a quiet morning in Paris, with the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop, he surprised Priscilla by joining her on a work trip — and, of course, got down on one knee along the riverbank. That magical moment in the City of Love was just the beginning of their journey toward a wedding celebration in downtown Toronto.
A CLASSIC AND ELEGANT WEDDING VISION
When it came time to plan their big day, Priscilla and Matt wanted something timeless — a celebration that felt both intimate and grand. The Grand Banking Hall at One King West, with its natural light, soaring ceilings, and historic charm, was the perfect backdrop. With the help of planner Jeannie of A Blush Moment, their black-and-white inspired wedding came to life through soft candlelight, lush florals, and a neutral colour palette that highlighted the venue’s stunning details.
Every element had a personal touch. Their beloved pomsky, Kumo, walked down the aisle during the ceremony and even made a cameo on custom drink coasters at the reception — each one showing his face and helping guests find their meals. It was such a sweet way to make him part of the celebration from start to finish.
PERSONAL TOUCHES AND MEMORABLE MOMENTS
Beyond the stunning design, Priscilla and Matt prioritized creating meaningful experiences for themselves and their guests. In lieu of a traditional guest book, they invited friends and family to write messages on bottles of wine labeled for future anniversaries — from their 1st all the way to their 40th. Each bottle is now a time capsule, waiting to be opened on milestone years as a reminder of the love and support that surrounded them on their wedding day.
Another standout detail was the decision to hire a wedding content creator, a modern addition to their vendor team. Through candid clips and behind-the-scenes moments, the couple gained a priceless perspective of their day — one that highlighted laughter, tears, and the little in-between moments that often go unseen.
