VENDOR SPOTLIGHT // GLASS MANOR
Steeped in history and character, Glass Manor is a Cookstown, Ontario wedding venue that beautifully marries historic charm with modern elegance. Housed within the original Cookstown Antique Market and named in honor of the Glass family who built the property in the early 1900s, the venue is rich with stories and timeless details. From its handcrafted stone courtyard to the warm, inviting indoor space, Glass Manor offers an intimate setting for couples seeking a wedding steeped in heritage, with celebrations designed for up to 50 guests.
One of the venue’s most captivating historic features is the original Glass family dining table, a 10-foot antique that now serves as a statement piece and a meaningful centerpiece for select event layouts. Every corner of Glass Manor tells a story, making it the perfect backdrop for intimate weddings, cocktail hours, or private gatherings that celebrate love, connection, and timeless elegance.
In this Vendor Spotlight, we’re taking you inside Glass Manor to explore its unique blend of historic character and modern style, showcasing why it’s such a sought-after choice for couples planning a small, unforgettable wedding in Southern Ontario.
Tucked away in the heart of Simcoe County, The Glass Manor is a romantic, vintage-inspired micro venue designed for couples who believe that small celebrations can still be deeply meaningful. With space for up to 50 guests, our historic estate offers the warm charm of a European wedding - complete with hand-laid stonework, sprawling lawns, and timeless character - without the travel. At The Glass Manor, we believe weddings shouldn’t feel like productions. Our approach is hands-on and supportive from the moment you book: we guide you through virtual planning sessions, an in-person design meeting, and day-of coordination so you can simply show up and celebrate. We help couples rediscover the joy in simplicity — proving that love, laughter, and genuine connection are all you need for a truly unforgettable day.
How long have you been hosting weddings at your venue? 4 years.
What makes your venue unique? Our venue is a one-of-a-kind micro venue that transports you to the English Countryside. Brick walls inside, barn beams overhead and small antique details are what visually set us a part from other venues. We are situated right next door to our sister company the Cookstown Antique Market where guests can even wander through during cocktail hour — a truly unique experience. Vintage-loving couples are encouraged to take some portraits inside the store as well.
What types of couples get married at your venue? Our couples are no-fuss couples who's focus is on the heart of their wedding experience and who want a more intimate setting for their wedding. Our couples love to have input on the small details and really revel in the history of the building and the pieces that adorn our space. They treasure the joy of simplicity and value support during the planning process.
What great wedding trends are you seeing this year or for next year? We actually love to challenge the status quo when it comes to what is truly important in a wedding. We've been seeing a rise in wedding content that's talking about how "we're missing the point" of weddings and we're really excited to see the heart of wedding celebrations start to take the spotlight. "The heart of weddings" meaning the joy, the people you choose to be there with you, the ways in which your style is expressed in your decor and colours. I think this whole concept of is very fitting in the world of micro weddings where our couples have already chosen to be very intentional with their guest list and I believe this intentionality is becoming more acceptable in the wedding world.
What services do you offer at your venue that set you apart (included or not included in your base package)? With any rental, we include the use of our in house sound system as well as table linens and napkins and (when booking full service catering) the use of our in house tableware, glassware and gold cutlery. In our full wedding venue package, we offer in house planning assistance through the course of 3 planning meetings. We take the charge on our couples' timeline, we contact vendors to discuss timing and set up requirements and we're the point of contact on the day of the wedding and we offer day-of support to our couples to lead the day according to plan. All of this is included in or full day venue package and the intention behind this extra support is to really lean into our couples being present during their big day. They really do just show up at our venue at the scheduled time and us and the vendors run the flow of the day.
Do you have any practical advice for couples planning a wedding at your venue? We always love when couples come to us with excitement and ideas that we can help bring to life. But most of all, our biggest piece of advice is not to overthink everything. The wedding industry often overcomplicates things and we encourage couples to remember what is important to them as a couple. I also encourage them to schedule in moments on your wedding day that are truly special to you and that you'll look back on and smile years from now.
