VENDOR SPOTLIGHT // PRESSED IN TIME
There’s something undeniably special about wedding flowers. They’re present for some of the most emotional, joy-filled moments of the day — walking down the aisle, exchanging vows, and celebrating with loved ones. But as beautiful as they are, flowers are fleeting. That’s where Pressed in Time steps in. Based in Canada and led by Devon, this floral preservation studio transforms once-in-a-lifetime blooms into handcrafted works of art couples can treasure forever.
For the past five years, Devon has been helping couples preserve one of the most meaningful parts of their wedding day: their bouquet. Each piece is custom-designed using locally made materials, with endless options for frame sizes, layouts, colours, and styles. Whether your taste leans modern and minimal or romantic and detailed, every keepsake is a deeply personal reflection of your love story—created with the very petals you held on your wedding day.
In this week’s Vendor Spotlight, Devon shares the heart behind Pressed in Time, what inspires her work, and her advice for couples dreaming up their wedding day. From bold tropical blooms to classic romantic arrangements, she believes every bouquet has a story worth preserving.
A short description of what you do: We help couples preserve one of the most meaningful parts of their wedding day, your bouquet! After the celebrations are over, we carefully press and transform your wedding flowers into custom artwork you can keep forever. It’s a beautiful way to hold onto those once-in-a-lifetime blooms and all the memories tied to them.
How long have you been working in the wedding industry? 5 years.
What makes your business unique? Flower preservation itself is pretty special, it’s not something everyone thinks of, but once they see it, they realize how meaningful it is. What makes Pressed in Time unique is how personal we make the entire process. Every keepsake is handcrafted in our Canadian studio using locally made materials, and no two pieces are ever the same.
We offer endless customization, from frame sizes and layouts to background colours and design styles so your piece truly reflects you and your wedding day. Whether you want something clean and modern or something more romantic and detailed, we’ll help bring that vision to life using your actual flowers. It’s art made just for you, using petals from the most unforgettable day.
What is your favourite part of your business? My favourite part of the business is getting to be a small part of such meaningful moments in people’s lives. It’s pretty special to take something as fleeting as wedding flowers and turn them into something that lasts forever. I love hearing the stories behind each bouquet, every piece we create holds so much emotion and memory, and being able to preserve that for couples is honestly the best part. That, and opening the press to see how beautifully the flowers turned out! it never gets old!
What inspires you? What inspires me most is the connection between people and nature. Flowers are there for life’s biggest moments like weddings, goodbyes, celebrations and they carry so much emotion.
On your day off, where would we find you? On my day off you’ll probably find me curled up on the couch with a romantasy book in hand and my dog Indy snuggled at my feet. There’s nothing better than getting lost in a good story.
If you weren’t a wedding vendor, what would be your dream job? hahaha I always wanted to be a showgirl with feathers.
What great wedding trends are you seeing this year? Tropicals! Fun bright colours!
Do you have any practical advice for couples planning a wedding? Don’t stress about making everything “perfect.” The little things that don’t go to plan often become the best memories. Focus on what matters most to you as a couple not what you think you’re “supposed” to do.
…and if flowers are important to you, think ahead about preserving them! Your bouquet will be one of the most personal parts of the day, and having a keepsake to remember it by is something you’ll be so glad you planned for.
