SOUTHERN ONTARIO'S WEDDING INSPIRATION
“This shoot was really playful, full of florals and girly details that we hope inspires brides to incorporate more pink into their day. We wanted to showcase that you can really never have too much pink while remaining elegant and fresh for a wedding day.”
“The evening was celebrated on the front lawn under a tent for 200. Lights twinkled in a canopy entwined with greenery and guests flooded the space to create the coziest atmosphere. A mix of round and harvest tables helped keep the evening casual and family style, while the linens, florals and candlelight reminded us this wasn’t just any summer night. Laura read poems to Alex. Alex sang songs to Laura. The whole room laughed and ate and drank wine and lived in the joy of the moment.”
“I truly love meeting new people on a regular basis. I have been lucky enough to meet and work with people from all over the world. I can't describe the feeling I get when I see people's reaction to their hair and makeup. When I see them light up with beauty and confidence, it always reassures me that I chose the right career. I will never tire of that feeling.”
The planning never stops around here and just because we have another successful show under our belts doesn’t mean we’re taking a break; we have been dreaming and scheming and meeting with vendors and venues since a week after the show!
Hello gorgeous, muted hues and romantic candlelight! This sweet Cave Spring Cellars wedding from Reed Photography is all kinds of beautiful. We're particularly smitten with the soft, textural blooms by Fleurish Design Studio.
With the resurgence of everything bohemian, free-form, and natural, we couldn’t help but fall in love with this beautiful seventies-inspired editorial shared with us by photographer Christine of Christine Grace Photography, captured at a recent workshop hosted by Katie Nicolle Photography.
Good jam, great story. The Southridge Jam Company is a social enterprise that is on a mission to interrupt the cycle of homelessness in Niagara. How? Through the making and selling of local, small batch jams and jelly. Our jam is a unique option for wedding favours, corporate gifts and your family’s breakfast table.
This dreamy editorial, part of Katie Nicolle’s Fine Art Photography Workshop this October, took place at the incredible Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto. An intimate group of talented photographers came together to learn from Katie how to style and shoot beautiful portraits and flat lays on the grounds of the manor. With styling by Vivian Lyttle Events, the workshop was inspired by European estate homes and all things romantic.
When we received this submission from Shane + Jenny of Reed Photography in our inbox during the warmth of the summer months we knew we had to feature it on a cold winter day, and today is THE day! Titled “As Real As it Gets”, we couldn’t agree more; Kevin + Ashley’s day was as genuinely ‘them’ as you could ask for.
Let’s be honest, winter may not be the season that comes to mind when planning outdoor pictures, but for Melissa and Rick, an outdoor snowy landscape was exactly what they wanted for their engagement pictures before their destination wedding.
“I am inspired by my couples. I am inspired by their story. How they met. Their hobbies, their passions, their interactions, their love. I thrive to make each and every wedding unique and personalized. I want to make sure their wedding day is designed and planned specifically for them.”
There is something so romantic about a winter wedding, and this lovely feature captured by Swish List member Joel Hannigan Photography is nothing short of magical.
“Krista & Alastair's wedding was a cool, boho celebration of their love. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, a VW bus and gorgeous, moody blooms, Krista & Alistair had a party that people will be talking about for ages.”
We almost can’t believe it but a week has come and gone since The First Look wedding show at Legends on the Niagara last Sunday. Just as we started feeling the bittersweet feels of another show under our belt, the final edit of our highlights film ended up in our inbox and now we can reminisce whenever we need a fix!
We welcomed so many beautiful brides and grooms along with their friends and family, filling the space to create a cozy, yet bustling energy. The intimacy of The First Look is something we here at Vineyard Bride take seriously, and we never want the show to feel so big that we lose that comfortable, casual feeling.
This outdoor woodland fairytale feature is a happily ever after dream come true. The organic textures offered by the venue space combined with the event design create a classically elegant wedding theme.
Set in the lush vineyard at the picturesque Rosewood Estates Winery in Beamsville, this fashion-forward feature is pure elegance. From the stunning simplistic wedding invites that are reminiscent of the delicate trait of champagne, to the hand-embroidered soft mermaid-wedding gown, to the warm champagne-yellow organic bouquet that complement the bride’s look, this champagne-themed wedding is pure vineyard romance.
We're so excited to have her lead our workshop attendees through the process of creating hand-calligraphed place cards, with tools to bring home to create paper details like invitations, envelopes, and signs to showcase at your own wedding.
This week’s Vendor Spotlight features a story and the work of Swish List member Tableauscapes: “Our aim is to offer a timeless aesthetic and provide an exceptional choice for clients wanting to create statement reception tables and creative displays.” Welcome to the Swish List!
We are thrilled to have loyal friends to Vineyard Bride, Mersey Cross on board not only as Bar Sponsor but as hosts of our Signature Cocktail Workshop! Mersey Cross brings a high energy and fun vibe to their events, and we loved having them at past shows to provide such a lovely (and delicious!) experience for our guests!
Today’s Vendor Spotlight is with long time Swish List member Allure Hair & Makeup! We are so thankful for their loyalty, kindness, professionalism, and, continual level of quality in their services!
We are loving these warm autumnal vibes that today’s editorial feature is emanating and have to share, especially for those soon-to-be brides planning a fall wedding.
This year we seriously considered the show from an attendees point of view, thinking long and hard about how we could amp up the involvement for our guests and provide them with The First Look show experience unlike before.
“When Jaime and I were planning our wedding, we knew we wanted to get married in Niagara-on-the-Lake: going to NOTL is a traditional for Jaime and I – somewhere we love to go so much, we call it our ‘happy place’.”
Bethann and Alex’s special day took place last September at Ravine Vineyards, a special place for both as Alex’ family owns the property, and Reed Photography was on hand to capture this stunning day.
“We wanted to be inspired by the 60’s colourful vibe and bring it into this shoot through the decor and space. Small details like the macrame, and the colour palette within the florals and tabletop accents, added to the vintage vibe.”
An early evening this past June, under a beautiful pergola and as the sun was setting, Calliope and Jacob tied the knot with their two closest friends by their sides for an intimate weddingceremony. As these lovebirds sealed their love with the first kiss as husband and wife, two white doves were released marking the beginning of their new life chapter together.
“We had lots of friends and family fly over from the UK and elsewhere which meant a lot to us and we wanted to ensure that everyone knew how much we appreciated them making the trip so we wrote personalized notes to all of our guests and dropped them off in hotel rooms with bottles of Niagara sparkling wine to welcome them.”
The time has come, friends! In a few short weeks Vineyard Bride will be hosting it’s fourth annual wedding show, The First Look and we couldn’t be more excited!
“This was a romantic, curated shoot highlighting fine and soft feminine features in a location rich with depth, interesting curiosities & unique antique pieces.”
