NATALIE AND ADRIAN'S ELORA MILL WEDDING // ERIN LEYDON PHOTOGRAPHY

Natalie and Adrian’s wedding day can only be described as fairytale-like. Planner Laura Olsen states, ‘the design and vision was a romantic, fine art aesthetic, with a colour palette that had soft tones’, brought to life by a dream team of vendors.

‘Natalie and Adrian’s wedding was the perfect combination of warmth and subtle colour, but with so much romance that it captured your attention right away, at any turn. Their day was full of love and warmth, which is captured in their photos and in their aesthetic. Their design is stunning, and is the kind of warmth that a lot of couples are looking for.

Details on the design: Overall, the design and vision was a romantic, fine art aesthetic, with a colour palette that had soft tones and stationery that had subtle colour blocking. The details for stationery and signage included a soft, modern element but mixed in traditional fonts to round out the design. This was carried through in all elements of the design and vision with subtle hints to the overall design in tiny details to bring that romantic, garden-esque feel and keep everything warm and inviting. A romantic colour palette was full of soft feminine colours: soft, muted blushes, a hint of mauve and tiny touches of lilac, largely supported by lush greens and lots of creamy whites.

These inspired Kendon Design Co. to come up with beautiful florals to provide light and warmth, as well as lots of movement in the florals, to offer a slightly garden-esque style without being too wild. The detail in the decor from W Event Decor helped to bring the room together.

At the reception, making good use of the beautiful whitewash tables on hand, warm white chiffon runners from W Event Decor continued the romantic, warm aesthetic. A single centerpiece in a compote vessel, in a more elongated shape, helped to make the tables feel more full. On either side of the arrangement, were beautiful blush taper candles of three different heights on gold candle holders, as well as votives scattered throughout. To maintain the fine art aesthetic, detailed charger plates were at each setting with gold cutlery and a blush water glass as an accent, to tie in the colour palette through the entirety of the table.

Our stationer, Statue Rue, designed an oversized seating chart to create a statement, grabbing guests' attention. Beautiful custom table numbers and menus finished off the place settings with a 'Buon Appetito' title as a nod to their Italian heritage.’
